Australia defeated Pakistan in the U-19 World Cup Final in Christchurch on January 30. The two times U-19 champions Pakistan couldn't play well enough on the final day to lift the cup.
Australia started their innings not so well with their first 5 wickets falling down just for 82 runs. Kane Richardson scored a solid 44 to take Australia past the 200 mark. Australia managed a low but challenging total of 207 for 9 wickets in their quota of 50 overs.
Pakistan replied with a steady start of 110 runs in 30 overs for the loss of 4 wickets. But they couldn't capitalise from here on and ultimately ended up on 182 all out. They lost the final by 25 runs.
Josh Hazlewood, Australian fast bowler was declared Man of the Match for his 4 wickets at an expense of 30 runs.
