He was happy about the success of Chennai Super Kings when they retained the title beating Royal Challengers Bangalore in the finals of IPL. Yuvraj was pretty confident about CSK's chances this time as he added saying that CSK is led by a man called MS Dhoni who doesn't like to lose finals. He also loved the fact that CSK retained most of their players in this year's IPL auction and this helps in long term goal settings.


About the upcoming India Vs West Indies 2011 series, he was sad as he had to opt out. After going through some scans, doctors advised him to rest as the reports suggested a lung infection. He added saying that this was the first opportunity for the team members to play as World Champions. So he is obviously sad to miss the tour.


The way Yuvraj Singh performed in the World Cup, was certainly the biggest factor in India's triumph. So his services are surely going to be missed by the Indian squad for West Indies tour. Hopefully he joins back the team for the England tour later this July.

Update on Sri Lanka's tour of England 2011

Here is another update on Sri Lanka's tour of England. There had been a lot of speculations about when would the Sri Lankan players featuring in IPL join the national team for the preparations of England tour. Atleast for the captain, Tillakaratne Dilshan the date is fixed now.

He will leave Indian Premiere League a bit early and join Sri Lankan team in England on 11th of May. He will feature in the tour match against Middlesex. He will miss the last 4 matches and also the knockout matches if Royal Challengers Bangalore manages to get into the knockouts. 

Sri Lanka plays Middlesex on 14th May. Then they play England Lions from 19th May.

The 1st test begins from 26th May at Sophia Gardens, Cardiff.

The home of cricket, The Lord's hosts the second test from 3rd June while Rose Bowl finally gets an opportunity to host a test match from 16th June.

India is far ahead than South Africa in the Test Rankings. India is scheduled to play West Indies and then England this year in test cricket. So they have a good opportunity to keep this lead alive.

Similarly in ODI cricket, Australia leads India by 8 points. The lead of Australia was good enough in advance that even if India won the World Cup, they couldn't manage to topple Australia in the ODI rankings.
