Live IPL Scores, IPL 2010 News on Cricket Nirvana

Live IPL Score

IPL is back home after its second edition played in South Africa. The 3rd edition of IPL has started with a bang and lot of uncertainties about which team is going to be at the top. Unlike the previous editions, this time more teams have managed to start well with their initial matches. If we have a look at the points table, teams like Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Chennai Super Kings, Deccan Chargers, Kolkata Knight Rider have all started well. Delhi Daredevils after a good start have lost two successive matches to Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings. Kings XI Punjab & Rajasthan Royals have started their campaigns very disappointingly with no wins from their first three matches.

Important players like Gambhir, Dhoni, Smith are injured and their teams are experiencing their deficit. On the other hand players like Gayle and Pollard have joined the IPL after finishing their international commitments.

Pakistani players out of IPL's third edition

IPL commissioner Lalit Modi informed on Monday that Pakistani players will not take part in the third edition of the Indian Premier League. He said that PCB has failed to arrange for the players’ visas before the deadline, which cannot be stretched further.

"We have been informed by the PCB that they have not been able to obtain the visas as of now. Today is the absolute deadline for confirmation of Pakistani players (to take part in IPL), which we cannot delay further.

"Unfortunately, the Pakistani players are out and they will not be allowed to take part in the next IPL because we are handicapped by the fact that the exchange window is day after tomorrow. We are informing the teams that they now can go for the replacements of the Pakistani players," Modi said.

The third edition of the IPL is scheduled to be played in March-April 2010.
